Trigeminal Nerve

Origin: cranial area, the pons

Terminus: ophthalmic, maxillary, and mandibular branches

Functions: provide sensory information for the eye, skin of anterior scalp, and upper face, helps chew and swallow

Vagus Nerve

Origin: from medulla oblongata through jugular foramen

Terminus: left and right enter larynx and esophagus respectfully, forms esophageal plexus

Functions: activates larynx, visceral sensation, motor of pharynx, taste, regulates heart beat

Phrenic Nerve

Origin: 3-5th cervical nerves

Terminus: superior of diaphragm 

Functions: controls diaphragm allowing for breathing

Ulnar, Radian, and Medial Nerves

Origin: posterior cord of axillary nerve

Terminus: anterior interosseous nerves, palmar cutaneous nerve, palmar digital, recurrent branch

Functions: bending of wrist and fingers, pronation of forearm

red=radial nerve, blue=ulnar nerve, green= medial nerve

Sciatic Nerve

Origin: ventral rami of L4-S3

Terminus: branches of sciatic after knee, tibial, and peroneal nerve

Functions: leg sensation, stimulates leg movement
