Personified Face

based on conflicting presentations and emotions

SUPPRESSION

Preliminary Idea

The original idea was to show half of a realistic face and the other half would be a wire skeleton. This was to represent how I present myself versus how empty and I can feel especially being sleep-deprived and stressed.  The wire also emphasizes the robot behavior of doing the same thing everyday (school, sport, homework, and sleep) and how rigid it feels.

The final result did change as the process went on. Instead of a robotic wire half, I opted for a black and white split. The black side represents the suppression of my true self whereas the white side is the vulnerability of my true self. The wire represents the outpour of emotions in my personality.
